Deepen Your Family’s LMU Experience

A Message from Megan Olson
Senior Director of Development, Family Philanthropy and Student Affairs

Dear LMU Families,

It’s my pleasure to invite you to consider joining the Parent and Family Leadership Council (PFLC), a dedicated group of families that deepens their connection to the university and makes a lasting impact on the student experience through philanthropy and volunteerism.

As both an LMU alumna and a proud member of the university staff, it’s a privilege to help families engage with “the Bluff” in meaningful ways. I’ve seen firsthand how special this community is—how it invites us to lead with purpose, to care deeply, and to walk alongside students as they grow into the people they’re meant to become.

The year ahead brings renewed energy and momentum as we welcome LMU’s 17th President, Thomas Poon, Ph.D., to his new role. In partnership with Dr. Kawanna Leggett, Senior Vice President for Student Affairs, and colleagues across campus, I’m proud to help guide this council of parent leaders who reflect the strength and generosity of the LMU family.

PFLC members serve as ambassadors, advocates, and philanthropic leaders. Through campus engagement, intimate conversations with university leadership, and support of key priorities, you’ll gain a firsthand perspective into the heart of LMU—and help ensure that today’s students have every opportunity to thrive.

If you're looking for a deeper way to be involved at LMU, to give back, and to model the values that make this place so special, I hope you’ll join us. I’d be honored to welcome you to the PFLC. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to learn more by emailing parentcouncil@lmu.edu

With Lion spirit and gratitude,

Megan Olson
