The Parent and Family Leadership Council (PFLC) is a dedicated group of LMU families who partner with university leadership to enrich the student experience, support LMU’s mission, and foster a vibrant and generous parent community. As philanthropic leaders, ambassadors, and investors, PFLC members play a vital role in shaping the future of LMU.

What Members Do

Partner with LMU Leadership

PFLC members serve as trusted advisors to the Senior Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Kawanna Leggett, offering thoughtful insights that help shape the student and family experience. Council members have a direct line to university decision-makers and influence initiatives that matter most to students.

Attend Council Meetings on Campus

Members gather in person twice a year, once during each semester, for engaging and impactful meetings with university leaders and fellow council members. Mark your calendar:
•    Fall Meeting: Oct. 24, 2025
•    Spring Meeting: Feb. 20, 2026

Make LMU a Philanthropic Priority

PFLC members demonstrate their commitment through annual philanthropic support. As a guideline, members are encouraged to contribute a five-figure ($25,000 or more) yearly contribution during their student’s enrollment. Many choose to further their impact with a six-figure gift commitment before graduation. Gifts may support any program or priority meaningful to your family, from scholarships and mental health resources to academic initiatives and campus life.

Advance LMU’s Mission through Fundraising

PFLC members help grow LMU’s philanthropic reach by connecting the university to new individual, corporate, and foundation supporters. Whether through personal giving or inviting others to join in, PFLC members help ensure that LMU continues to thrive.
