FAQ

  • LMU’s current Strategic Plan, entitled Forming Leaders Who Transform the World, has guided the university’s decisions and actions since 2012 and is due to expire in 2020. The complex process of crafting a new strategic plan to take LMU through 2026 will take over a year to complete.

  • The general structure of a strategic plan consists of the following:

    • Mission
    • Core Values
    • Environmental Scan and Gap Analysis
    • Vision
    • Strategic Issues
    • Goals, Objectives, Strategies, Tactics, and Metrics
    • Implementation
    • Assessment
  • LMU’s next strategic plan affects everyone in the LMU community. The plan will determine the university’s highest priorities over the next five years and will guide allocation of the university’s financial resources, attention, time, and effort through 2026.

  • Inclusion and transparency throughout the strategic planning process is a priority for the Steering Committee. There will be several opportunities for community involvement over the coming year as the plan is developed. Keep an eye out in LMU This Week for opportunities to share your thoughts and participate.
