In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Committee on the Status of Women’s Speaker Series hosted an inaugural brownbag event featuring Lynne Scarboro. Lynne retired in 2023 after serving as LMU’s vice president for administration from 2002 to 2016 and executive vice president and chief administration officer from 2017 to 2023. In her role, Lynne was responsible for overseeing the administrative areas and resources that serve the core operating needs of the university, including human resources, information technology, finance and accounting, and public safety.

Our conversation with Lynne highlighted how she navigated her own path to leadership, what she considers the most significant benefits of and barriers to women in leadership, and the important role of mentorship in impacting women’s career trajectories. The Committee also spotlighted Lynne’s impressive career in higher ed in an article for LMU This Week.
