University Policy Committee

The University Policy Committee (UPC) is a standing committee of the University governed by Bylaws and authorized by the President to support and provide accountability for the review process established for all newly proposed and/or significantly revised university policies. The UPC reviews all new/revised policies for consistency, readability, and format.  All new and substantially revised policies must be reviewed and recommended by the UPC prior to becoming official university policy.

The membership of the UPC is comprised of the following positions:

  • University Risk Manager (Vice Chair)
  • Vice President, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Associate Provost, Undergraduate Education
  • Director, Mission and Identity Programs
  • Vice President, Human Resources
  • Associate Vice President, Marketing and Brand Management
  • Vice President, ITS
  • Associate Professor, Economics
  • Dean of Students
  • Vice President, Finance/Controller
  • Executive Director, University Relations Services
