The LMU Staff Senate was founded in 1990 to represent all staff and their interests to university administration.
Mission Statement
In keeping with the mission of Loyola Marymount University, the Staff Senate exists to promote the professional and personal development of staff members, serve in an advisory capacity to the university leadership in the development, review, and dissemination of university policies, and to provide a forum for open communication and ongoing dialogue among the entire university community.

Staff Senate Special Election Nominations
Staff Senate is holding a special election to expand our membership. Senators elected now will have the full 2025–2026 academic year credited toward their term of service.
Nominations are open until 11:59 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2025. You may nominate yourself or another staff member.
