Advancing LMU's Interests through Advocacy
The External Relations team is actively involved in state and federal advocacy efforts, representing LMU alongside other private institutions and membership organizations. These meetings provide valuable opportunities to engage in dialogue with peer institutions and directly interact with policymakers on behalf of the university. Through these efforts, the External Relations team ensures that LMU remains well-informed and strategically positioned to address emerging legislative challenges and protect institutional priorities.
Notable advocacy events External Relations will take part in this year:
- AICCU Day in the Capitol, Sacramento
- AJCU Government Relations Conference and Congressional Breakfast
- NAICU Annual Meeting and Advocacy Day, Washington, D.C.
- L.A. Chamber of Commerce ACCESS D.C.
