I am going to attend a joint master’s program at UC Berkeley and UCSF. I’m doing the Master of Translational Medicine program and it’s a one-year program that’s a combination of bioengineering, business, and clinical needs.

    Zoe Bell

    Psychology

    Minor: African American Studies

When I graduate from Loyola Marymount University, I would love to pursue my Ph.D. in psychology with a focus on forensics and criminal profiling. I am planning on gaining research experience in Los Angeles for the next couple of years before applying to PhD programs. My hope is to work in the forensic psychology field, whether that means working in a correctional facility, the FBI, or even testifying in a court of law.

    ‌Erick Carranza

    Psychology and Spanish

I work part-time as a Registered Behavioral Technician and provide at-home therapy to children with autism. I will apply for graduate programs in clinical psychology this fall.

Currently, I will be entering the workforce after graduation, to return to graduate school soon. I am hoping to be accredited as a crime analyst soon after.

    Phaedra Johnson

Following graduation, I will apply to medical school in the summer to be a member of the 2021 incoming class. During my gap year, I will attend med school interviews and work to help finance medical school. In addition, I plan on volunteering in clinics and being a translator for Spanish-speaking patients along with doing advocacy work in my community.

    John Lopez

I will be attending the University of California, Irvine, this fall to begin a Ph.D. program in Education with an emphasis on Digital Learning and Media. I seek to identify the ways computer technologies may be used to address the needs of learners + teachers and improve educational opportunities for all. Although my initial research will be focused on human-computer interaction, I expect to shift my work towards understanding a variety of cutting edge learning technologies, such as learning analytics and dialogue systems.

    Tiffany Lum

    Minor: Public Relations

When I graduate, I will be on my way to working at a Fashion/Lifestyle Public Relations firm, specialized in marketing, social media, branding, product placement etc. Currently, I’m interested in pursuing a higher education in marketing to make me a more well-rounded candidate for future jobs and opportunities in my intended field of work.

    Harveen Sekhon

I will be starting my full-time job as a Tax Consultant at Deloitte San Jose in July. Courtney Spears

Courtney Spears will pursue a Master of Science degree in healthcare systems engineering at  LMU. Courtney became passionate about what she perceived as public health disparities in the U.S. healthcare system. According to Courtney, “In this program, I will learn systems engineering techniques that can be applied to America’s healthcare system to improve clinic and hospital systems to better support medical and administrative staff, prioritize and improve quality of patient care, and reduce medical costs.”

After receiving my undergraduate B.S. degree in Biology I hope to attend medical school right away. If this does not happen, I plan on working a few years to better my application, take an MCAT class during a gap year, or spend time with family before reapplying.
