Implicit Bias Workshops for Staff
The Office of Intercultural Affairs and Human Resources have developed an implicit bias workshop tailored to LMU staff. Through a mix of short presentations, activities, and discussions, the workshop will explore how implicit biases form in our brains, their impact on other people and society, and strategies we can take to mitigate the implicit biases that we all possess.
The upcoming workshops for Spring 2020 are scheduled as follows:
Thursday, February 6, 10am-12pm - Center for Teaching Excellence UH-3000
Thursday, February 20, 2pm-4pm - Center for Teaching Excellence UH-3000
Wednesday, March 18, 10am-12pm - Center for Teaching Excellence UH-3000
Thursday April 2, 2pm-4pm - Center for Teaching Excellence UH-3000
Thursday April 30, 2pm-4pm - Center for Teaching Excellence UH-3000
Implicit Bias Workshops for Students
Implicit bias workshops are offered to all incoming students as part of the LMU CARES program (X). They may also be offered to current students or student groups on an appointment basis.
Implicit Bias Workshops for Faculty
Implicit bias workshops for faculty are offered throughout the year and are facilitated by Dr. Adam Fingerhut and Dr. Nora Murphy from the Psychology Department. Please check back for dates for the 2019-2020 school year.
