Staff Senate Goals

  • Create an awareness/branding campaign that includes designing a Staff Senate logo and bolstering the Senate’s presence on social media and roll it out to increase Staff Senate visibility on campus.
  • Revamp the current representation structure to create zones within the various divisions. Create communication to all staff informing them of this transition in representation and breaking down the various zones and who represents each zone. Begin having senators communicate with the constituents within their specific zones.
  • Develop an effective means to provide staff with information regarding benefits and opportunities that extends beyond the Human Resources website.
  • Establish ourselves as the representative body of the University staff.
  • Continue to research and review the LMU Children’s Center selection process and potential ways to improve candidate experience. Review other benefit and opportunity concerns voice by staff over the past year and determine if a proposal is warranted. 
  • Develop a practical way to provide professional development to the LMU Staff, potentially through partnership with another entity on campus.
