Mailing List

Staff Senate sends newsletters packed with relevant information for LMU staff, from noteworthy news and resources to events and updates on what Staff Senate is currently prioritizing. Although we do our best to make sure all staff are included in our mailings, updating the list is a manual process. Staff Senate Programs

LMU Barbara Bonney Staff Member of the Year Award

This award is presented annually to a staff member of the Westchester campus who has shown continued excellence in the following areas:

  • Continued excellence in one's professional area.
  • Commitment to the ideals of higher education.
  • Leadership and initiative within one's area or the University as a whole.
  • Unique contribution to improving the quality of life at LMU.
  • Public service to the LMU community.
  • Commitment to improving the relationship between the staff and university by developing projects or participating in events that serve this purpose.

Nominations open in the spring semester; all LMU staff may submit nominations. The recipient is chosen by the Staff Senate Recognition and Opportunities Committee and announced during Staff Appreciation Week in May.

Computer Loan Lottery

Eligible staff have the opportunity to obtain a loan from LMU to purchase or upgrade a laptop, desktop, tablet or smartphone and any related software or peripherals purchased together as part of a system for personal use. The lottery is administered annually by LMU Staff Senate during the fall semester.
